Bajaj Auto India today launched the highly anticipated bike Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z in the Indian market with the prices starting from Rs 1.85 Lakh (ex-showroom, introductory).The new Pulsar NS 400Z is the most powerful and stunning Bajaj Pulsar bike ever and is the most affordable 400cc, street-naked motorcycle ever.
Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z Engine Details
The engine of Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z is powered by a 373cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine that puts out 39.4bhp of power at 8,800rpm and 35Nm of torque at 6,5000rpm. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The same engine does the duty in the Bajaj Dominar 400.
Features of Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z
The Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z comes with LED lights, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, dedicated app to display shows incoming calls, missed calls, SMS notifications, turn-by-turn navigation, switchable traction control, four ride modes- Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road, dual-channel ABS and adjustable levers.
The NS 400Z is based on a perimeter frame that is suspended by a 43mm, USD fork at the front and a gas-charged, preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are taken care by a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the back.
Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z Design
The bike looks like it’s an evolution of the NS200 itself. At the front, it gets LED projector light with thunderbolt-style DRLs. It gets a large fuel tank with neatly integrated extensions which overlap the radiator. It also gets carbon fibre stickering on the shrouds. The side and rear sections look very similar to the NS 200 but here the design gets sharper profile.
The bookings for the bike are open at Rs 5000, interested customers can book it online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Bajaj claims that the NS400Z has a top speed of 154 kmph.
The NS400Z is powered by the same engine found in the Dominor 400. That said, it gets a 373 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which belts out 39.4 bhp and a torque output of 35 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and incorporates a slip-and-assist clutch. Bajaj claims that the NS400Z has a top speed of 154 kmph. Moreover, the motorcycle integrates ride-by-wire technology as well.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Suspension & Dimensions
The Pulsar NS400Z has a kerb weight of 174 kg.
In terms of cycle parts, it is equipped with a 43 mm USD fork finished in gold and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is managed by a 320 mm front disc with a 4-piston Grimeca axial calliper and a 230 mm rear disc. Tipping the scales at 174 kg with a fully fueled 12-litre tank, it offers an accessible seat height of 807 mm. It has a wheelbase of 1344 mm and a ground clearance of 168 mm. The motorcycle gets a 110/70-17 tyre up front and a 140/70-R17 at the rear.
